Caliente! | Packaging Design
Concept
Caliente! is a fictional line of small-batch spicy preserves from Sandy Springs, Georgia with three flagship products: Hot Pepper Peach Preserves, Blueberry Jalapeño Jelly, and Ghost Pepper Jelly, the brand brings a spirited twist to traditional Southern preserves by pairing familiar flavors with unexpected heat.
Design Approach
Inspired by Georgia's Southern heritage, the packaging combines classic decorative elements with playful typography and colorful illustrations. Oval labels, ornamental borders, and botanical imagery give the brand a traditional feel, while flavor-specific color palettes and bold lettering introduce a contemporary personality. A consistent label system creates a cohesive identity across all three varieties.
Execution
I developed the brand identity and packaging for all three preserves, including the labels and supporting packaging elements. I also photographed the finished products, handling art direction, food styling, lighting, composition, and retouching. The photography features individual product shots, stacked arrangements, and group compositions to highlight both the packaging details and the collection as a whole.
